Denver,

Last week me and Sophie were able to go to Denver to visit my parents. It was so nice to get out of Rexburg and just relax and enjoy their company. We drove down to Utah on Friday night, nothing went as planned, and stayed with my grandparents. We were suppose to leave around noon, 2 at the latest but Josh did not get off work until 5 and so that was a bust. Oh well things still worked out. We got into Utah at around 7:30 and hung out with my family for a little bit. I flew out on Saturday. I was really nervous about how Sophie was going to take the flight but she did so well, she fell asleep on the runway and woke up right as we were about to make our descent. She did not cry at all which was great. Grammy was so excited to see Sophie so we just relaxed at home the rest of the afternoon. My parents dog, Lexie, was so excited to see Sophie and loved her the moment she saw her. She would not leave her side and wanted to lay right by her all the time. Sophie is used to dogs which is good but Sadie is a bit bigger than Lexie and so she did not really know what to think of her at first. We were able to eat out a lot and shop our guts out. I loved Denver so much, such a big change from Idaho. The mall was great and the city they live in was wonderful. The weather was pretty good too. While we were there though, there was a huge snow storm, it dropped about a foot of snow and the power went out for a couple of hours. The next day they closed all the schools but by the middle of the day most of the snow was melted. I went to Denver on a mission to find a new pair of jeans and was able to find two really cute pairs and two basic Ts. I also got a new pair of sunglasses and a pair of tenny shoes. We ate cheese cake, cupcakes, chocolate covered strawberries, and everything else we don't get to eat. We bummed around and watched movies and my mom showed me how to make hot pads. The last night we were there my parents treated me to a delicious steak dinner. Thanks Mom and Dad for everything, we had such a good time. I flew back to Utah on Saturday and we went to my in-laws house. Sophie was not doing so good and so after crying for about 5 hours straight we decided to leave and head back home. We got back around 12:30 that night. Sadie was so excited to see me and in her excitement tried to jump into the baby carrier which scared Sophie, she was asleep. After calming her down and putting her back to bed we finally crashed out. Sophie slept most of the day on Sunday which was good for her. Now we are just trying to get back into the swing of everyday life and put my house back together.

Here are just a few pictures...
